This heartwarming tale connects two star crossed lovers that were never meant to be and sets a definite fire in our hearts. If for no other reason, this movie gets credit for its iconic spaghetti scene, seen recreated in so many other movies and television shows. A must see for the holidays. Tissue box not included.

Whether it’s the Jim Carrey version or the original animated classic, this movie always guarantees to be a treat. As the devious Grinch plots his Christmas debauchery, his lovable dog Max unwittingly gets dragged into his dastardly plans. However, despite all his master’s shortcomings, Max stays by his side until his “change of heart.” Live action or animated, Max is sure to warm the hearts of pet owners everywhere.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

A different take on the holidays, The Nightmare Before Christmas stars Jack Skellington, a resident of Halloween Town who unwittingly stumbles through a portal to Christmas Town. This family friendly musical includes Jack’s ghostly yet friendly pup, Zero. Zero brings joy to this film and helps Jack throughout, cheering him up and even playing fetch with one of his ribs! This movie is sure to give you and your family a new take on Christmas and is easily a new age Disney classic for any holiday season.

A Dog Named Christmas

In this heartwarming Hallmark movie, a special needs boy fosters and names a dog, Christmas. Ensuing is the age old tale of grumpy, dog-skeptic Father turned mushy-hearted Dad. What can be likened to the holiday version of My Dog Skip, A Dog Named Christmas is sure to put a smile on your face and an occasional tear in your eye.

Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure

The big guy is back in this Christmas family classic. Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure is sure to inspire and entrance kids of all ages. A talking dog, a magic toy, and greedy villains all combine to make this Christmas classic. Watch as Beethoven gets into more mischief and captivates more hearts in his adventure to save Christmas.

The Muppet Christmas Carol

Though technically not pets (and some aren’t even animals), The Muppet Christmas Carol is a delightfully pleasant take on a written classic. Starring favorites like Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and Gonzo, these muppets shape this Dickens tale in a new fashion. Light, fun, and chock full of musical interlude, The Muppet Christmas Carol is a classic of a classic.
